The Move

Change can be bittersweet.  The bitter is that we left behind a house that we worked very hard on and all of our fabulous neighbors, who are now lifelong friends.  The sweet being that we have more than 1 bathroom, a wonderful huge yard to get lost in, and a house that gives us room to roam on the many wet and stormy days in the Pacific NW, as well as plenty of room to grow into.  Plus, we have many new fabulous neighbors and we look forward to getting to know them better in the years to come.

A Great Case of the Sillies!

Approximately 10 minutes after ice cream, this scene unfurled in our house...and I only captured half of it on video!!!  Remember when you were young and had THIS much energy?!  Personally I love how they seemlessly blend their Jawa Pants song from Gabe's part to Logan's part.  Not sure how they came up with Jawa Pants other than they were playing with their Jawa action figures from Star Wars and Logan was supposed to change into some pants before going back to his mom's house...young minds at work!

5 years!!!

We made it! Jeremiah and I have been married for 5 years now! We celebrated our 5th anniversary in our back yard with a bottle of wine and a toasty fire...relaxed and enjoying a night of Gabriel sleeping and Logan at camp.
Cheers! Here's to the future!

Logan's Camp Week

Milestones abound! I've always been a Summer lover: the long days and short nights, all the birthdays, the pies and fresh fruit and veggies straight outta the dirt! Nothing beats Summer! And Summer is one of those measures of growth with kids: last summer Logan learned to ride a bike and Gabe was barely running. This summer Logan is still cruising on his bike AND took a week off from his family and went off to Summer Camp!!! He's done day camps before but never a sleep over camp, and this was no light weight camp! It was a full week, Sunday through Saturday and the result is: Logan had an excellent time and can't wait to go back next summer! Sure, he has a double ear infection and lost a toenail, but we can chalk this summer milestone down as a huge success! I'm not sure who was more nervous going into the week, his parents or him, but we're all excited for his amazing experiences he received over the last week! Happy Summer Logan!!!

Happy Birthday Dear Gabriel!

Gabriel's finally 3!!! We celebrated by heading out to Kruger's Berry Farm on Sauvie Island and picking some raspberries and strawberries with his Auntie Cari and cousins Andrew and Sophia. We also indulged in some delicious cupcakes! Gabe's favorite colors these days are Blue and Yellow! We've been seeing more of the yellow lately, so the cupcakes were made to match...almost, we had yellow and purple frosted poppyseed cupcakes and they were delish!

Back By Demand!!!

Gabe has developed his technology vocabulary without missing a beat and with a huge surprise to me...his typist! Last week at a store he found a keyboard and started typing away, I prompted him to get off the computer and he said, in the sweetest voice possible, "But Mama, I was just checking my website!" And so as a few days have passed and I have been prompted by my almost 3-year-old, we are back on the blog! We've got videos and photos galore! It's been 1.5 years afterall since I've posted anything. That's half of Gabe's life! Plus, it's summer, I've got more time and Gabe's older and able to entertain himself more than our last go of it! Hooray for summer! Hooray for Gabe's tech development! (we also have an updated computer system since last time, which will make our blogging experience less time intensive...we hope!)
Stay tuned! More to come!
